I Have A Hard Time Letting Go...

... of things from my childhood.
Like for instance, the bunk beds I slept in every summer at our beach cabin. Recently, my parents purchased new bunks for the beach house. I couldn't handle seeing the old beds go away for good. I had a plan! Take these pieces...
...and turn 'em into something we could use now.
I can always use a bench. Thankfully my sweet hubby can build things that are structurally safe to sit in. I don't think anyone would want to sit in it, if I would have put it together, me included!
I'm thinking a cute little table would look charming with the bench. I do have one head and foot board left to make something with.... Umm, HONEY!!!!

    I never would've know that was from an old bunkbed...it just looks like a super charming bench! I love that you took something of sentimental value to you and turned it into something you can use today! That makes it all the more special! That husband of yours sounds like a keeper! :)
