One of my favorite things at this time of year - chive flowers!
If you've never eaten them, you've just gotta try 'em. They taste yummy, and I love the added color they bring to a salad.
I made one of my hubby's favorite meals last night -
fresh sockeye salmon grilled on a cedar plank. Grilling salmon on a cedar plank gives the fish the most amazing flavor. I wish you could smell it grilling - it's heavenly!

Accompanying the salmon: long grain wild rice, salad with balsamic vinaigrette, and my own aioli sauce. We should of bought the whole salmon filet instead of having the fish monger cut it down for us. The girls couldn't get enough - it was divine!

Who knew? I haven't ever given chive flowers a single thought. They do look lovely.

My mouth is watering - What a perfect dinner. I'm anxious to try the chive flowers. How long do you bbq the salmon when it's on a plank? We bbq a lot of salmon.
Yummm.....that sounds wonderful!
That's one of my favorite meals too.

The weather has been glorious and we have been living the summer life too. We discoverd cedar planking several years ago and I agree it is the best way to cook salmon.
You have pictured an idyllic day, one to cherish.
