Winter Daphne

Grandma's Winter daphne is blooming, and it smells so good!

Daphne loves sharing her name with a flower, so we took her picture with it today.
You know, when we named her, I don't think either hubby or I had ever heard of the Daphne odora plant.
I actually chose her name while watching a movie when I was pregnant. I loved the character named Daphne.
And no... it wasn't a Scooby Doo movie. Ha!

Oh, that just made my heart skip a beat. When we lived in Sultan I had one of those but never knew what to call it. It was my very favorite plant/bush in the flower garden. I absolutely loved it and the fragrance...oh my!...amazing. I miss it. Thanks for sharing.
(I names my youngest, Elizabeth, after the baby in Baby Boom) ;-)
