Strawberry Fields

Last Friday, we made our annual trek to the u-pick strawberry patch.
Even though the weather we've been having around here doesn't make it feel like summer, heading out to pick vine ripened berries sure does.
I love sharing this tradition with the girls. It's our official kick off to summer.
We picked almost 10 pounds, enough for a couple batches of jam and a few containers of slicers.

To start our day, this is one of our favorites when we have fresh berries.

Mmmm, I love ice cream for breakfast!

The Hubbs has been buying strawberries at a little farm not far from us for a couple of weeks... There is just nothing like a Northwest berry, is there? YUM!

Have a great weekend.

Warm blessings,
Spencer
