Chandelier Creation

As promised, here are a couple pictures of the petite chandelier I put together. I created it with the lamp parts I found on our trip. I then painted it black, added some crystals, the shades and voila' - fabulous new lighting above my kitchen sink!
I'm so pleased with how it turned out. I've been looking for a petite chandelier for some time but haven't had any luck. Any that I've found though, are always to pricey for me. It cost me $23 to make this chandelier - that's including all parts and even the paint too!

Only thing left to do now, is find cute trim to add to the shades...

I had to share this picture I took the other night of my new buddy Buzz.
Each night while I'm out watering he does a fly-by. Well actually, I get buzzed!
He then perches himself on this tiny branch in our red flowering plum tree and watches me while I water the garden. Isn't he just the sweetest little guy ever!?

Yesterday, I spent a good portion of the day cutting hundreds of 8" squares.
I have 4 vintage chenille quilts that I need to make.
Today, we're heading over to my parents beach house where we'll be celebrating the 4th of July this weekend, with our family and friends. The girls and I are then staying all of next week too. My project for next week is to get all 4 twin sized quilts made.
I really love sewing while I'm at the beach. Nothing beats the view!
Have a happy 4th of July!
God Bless America!

What a cute petite chandelier in your pretty kitchen! We just ordered one from a lighting store and it was
not cheap. But I just love them!

It's amazing to see snow on the mountain and boats on the water! What a beautiful part of the country. Thanks for sharing it with us!
