Sydney was my random number generator, and she picked the number 20.
Congrats Holly, you left the 20th comment!
Thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway, and also to Kim for hosting this fantastic event.
Last weekend while we were up at Whidbey, I managed to do a little shopping on Saturday. First stop was at a flea market that a local antique mall hosts a few times each summer. It's pretty small, but I always happen to find something and at a great price too!
Sunday evening, hubby and I went to visit the cemetery in his hometown, where many of his relatives have been laid to rest. He grew up in "small town USA" and his paternal family ties go back to the late 1800's. This is where his great grandparents, grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins are 'resting'.
In 1955, the VFW created this memorial to honor the local high school students who gave their lives in WWII and the Korean War. It is located at the old high school (now middle school) sports field.
On this Memorial Day, let us remember all those who have given their lives while serving our country. It is because of them, we are able to enjoy the freedom we do!
What I have to giveaway is: an all white bath mat I created using vintage chenille, a cute fingertip towel with ruffles, a sweet little apothecary jar filled with shells I've picked up on our Whidbey Island beach, and a bag of beach glass that I've handpicked off our beach too.
To win, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post and you'll be entered. I'll draw one winner on Saturday, May 30th.
Even though my designer dress was featured in the magazines, I think my current taste is much better, don't you?
