New Additions

I've added a few new finds to some of my collections lately....
like, a great lot of vintage bride and groom cake toppers
a sweet old flirty eye compostition doll (thanks mom!)
vintage pearl necklaces with pretty rhinestone clasps
and although I don't collect vintage clothing, I did pick up this gorgeous vintage mink stole. It looks fabulous on Stella the mannequin.

Oh, I love your sweet wedding toppers.

The clasp on your pearls are just wonderful. They really knew how to add a little more "prettiness" to pearls back then.

It looks like you had a wonderful time in Portland. I didn't make it to Expo this time, but when July comes around, I'll be there!

What is better than starting the day with your beautiful additions? Love them all (as always). You often wonder why there is so much beauty to be find in items of the past, while there are so much more possibilities nowadays. Yet there seems to be so much more of the same now, even when you visit other countries or in your case other parts of the country. Nowadays most pearls strings aren't even proper beads on a string, but beads and string melted together, if you know what I mean, so you never loose the beads, but you can never use the beads again for anything else either. And why are the clasps of the past so beautiful and nowadays (if there is a clasp) so simple?. And most toys nowadays come from China and are a horrible quality. I know, much has changed for the good, but I think nothing beats these vintage additions to your collections, I enjoy them very much, thank you!

love the cake toppers! Sara has been looking at all sorts and they just don't compare with the vintage charm. She hasn't found any that she likes (and can afford), I guess we need to look in antique stores. Wanna share where you get such sweet toppers?

Hey Karoline,

Thank you so much for your purchase of the tablecloth from my space and featuring a picture on your blog. I'm so sad I didn't get to meet you at Expo. Someday. Love the toppers as you probably already know and the rhinestone clasps on the pearls are gorgeous. I only buy pearls with pretty clasps now. I'm trying to think of a way to display the clasps on some necklaces I have that are broken. Any ideas?
