Show & Tell Sunday - Vintage Millinery

Thanks to Cerri from Little Pink Studio for hosting todays Show and Tell Sunday!

Our challenge this week was to show & tell about our vintage millinery hats, flowers, and how we store them.
***********************************

I love this cream rose with its hint of peachy pink. At one time, it was pinned on an old hat. I now have it attached to the ruched waist of a 50's chiffon prom gown. The tiny velvet posies are so sweet!
The flowers I've removed from old hats are now displayed in an apothecary jar.
Velvet leaves and flowers that have one or two velvet petals in them are my most favorite.

I picked up this faux fur hat because of the beautiful rhinestone pin. I have it displayed on a very old German paper mache' doll head hat stand. One of these days I'll find a better vintage hat for the stand...
I purchased this hat for $2 at an estate sale a couple years ago. Originally, I was going to take it apart but changed my mind once I put it with my favorite hat box. I'm glad I didn't take it apart... Here are a couple more that I love. Roses with some velvet petals... aah... pure beauty!
Oh, and since millinery refers to hats or headdresses, I thought I'd share a picture of my vintage crown. It can be considered a headdress, right?
Thanks for taking a peek at my tiny collection. I'm off to visit everyone and get my fix of vintage millinery for today...
